Log repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance for hardware assets.

Creating maintenance logs

1. From an asset's detail page, click Log Maintenance.
2. Provide: issue description, resolution, cost, and time spent.
3. Set the maintenance type: corrective (fixing a problem) or preventive (scheduled servicing).
4. The asset status may change to In Repair during active maintenance.

Maintenance history

All maintenance logs are displayed on the asset's detail page in chronological order. This history is valuable for:

• Identifying assets with recurring issues (candidates for replacement).
• Tracking total cost of ownership (purchase price + cumulative maintenance costs).
• Demonstrating asset management practices for compliance audits.
