Change Management

Track infrastructure and configuration changes with categorization and impact assessment.

Change request workflow

  1. Navigate to Operations → Changes.
  2. Click Add Change.
  3. Provide:
    • Title and description of the change.
    • Category — Standard, Normal, or Emergency.
    • Impact and urgency assessment.
    • Planned date and implementation window.
  4. Link affected assets and services.
  5. Submit for approval.

Change types

Category Description
Standard Pre-approved, low-risk, routine changes
Normal Requires assessment and approval before implementation
Emergency Urgent changes that bypass normal approval (documented post-hoc)

Change lifecycle

Changes move through statuses from draft through implementation to completion. Each status transition is recorded in the audit trail. Post-implementation, the change record documents whether the outcome matched expectations.
