Locations

Define physical and logical locations for asset tracking, compliance scoping, and organizational structure.

Location hierarchy

Locations support a parent-child hierarchy: Country → City → Building → Floor → Room. The tree view (powered by the treeview.py route) displays the full hierarchy with expandable nodes.

1. Navigate to Administration → Locations.
2. Click Add Location.
3. Provide: name, type, address, and optionally a parent location.

Asset assignment

Assets and peripherals can be assigned to locations. The asset list supports filtering by location, enabling quick inventory checks per site.
